【葉國吏／綜合報導】香港回歸中國16年，香港核心價值持續受衝擊，香港人移居台灣的人數，更因此飆升。

香港《蘋果日報》報導，香港回歸後，言論自由縮減，地產霸權當道。香港人漸漸無法忍受。根據統計，今年上半年港人移民數字每年增加8.3%，其中移民台灣的數字，去年更飆升兩倍。香港《蘋果》訪問多個移居台灣的港人，均表示在台灣找回民主自由核心價值，房價又比香港便宜，找到安居之所，以及失去已久的人情味。

不過有專家提醒，台灣政府雖然優待港人，投資移民台灣只需500萬元台幣(約132萬港元)，不過需坐三年移民監，當地稅務亦比香港複雜。

台灣總統選舉可讓全民投票，有移居港人表示在台找回民主自由核心價值。
