法國政府考慮要對智慧手機與平板電腦的銷售課徵百分之一的稅金，作為法國文化基金。

法國政府最近一項針對數位科技產品快速崛起的調查報告中提到，為保護文化產業免於商業及外來的競爭，政府考慮針對智慧手機與平板電腦課征百分之一的銷售稅，預計，一年可增加8600萬歐元的經費。

法國文化部長表示，網路科技產物越來越複雜，消費者也必須花費越來越貴的費用購買，但是廠商，如Google 及Apple 對於文化產業卻沒有任何資助。

因此當局考慮針對網路設施課稅，以協助文化產業。預計，法國國會議員將在最近審查這項課稅議案。
