張菲趁著中秋假期，與姊姊恆述法師、媳婦翁馨儀、兩個兒子、以及92歲的父親張舞曦，在家連烤兩天肉，也度過了第一次當「公公」的中秋節。對媳婦，他直說滿意，「才嫁到家裡馬上帶小孩來，有功於張家，功德無量，小孩過幾個月要誕生，是張家大事，曾祖父負責祖譜，爺爺負責單名，命名由爸爸張少懷決定」。

他說，費玉清（小哥）因參加央視秋晚而缺席，但小哥十分孝順，因醫生叮嚀父親要多吃牛肉等高營養食物，前幾天已先帶父親去吃鐵板燒。

「我爸爸先前因呼吸障礙急送醫，全家人都到醫院集合，小哥也放下工作到醫院報到，隨時用簡訊和家人聯絡。每個人各司其職，恆述法師只要家裡有人生病就起壇唸光明咒，我就全天看護，爸爸是家裡的寶貝、智庫還是我們人生的依靠，關係全家人的幸福。」
