盲用App 可辨識鈔票面額

淡江大學和中華電信合作研發手機應用程式「盲用及銀髮族隨身助理APP」，囊括放大鏡、語音查詢、簡訊報平安等多樣服務，全球首創。該款APP也提供物品辨識功能，用手機拍攝物品影像上傳，遠端志工看到後將名稱回傳，這端的使用者就能聽到手機語音播放物品名稱。

淡大盲生資源中心系統工程師張金順說，這款APP可辨識新台幣、人民幣、日幣、美金、歐元五種鈔票。使用者用手機拍攝鈔票，系統資料庫進行辨識後，即時以語音告知面額與幣別，例如「現在拍照上傳辨識，這張是日幣1000元。」3G網路順暢的話，幾乎只要1秒鐘就能得到結果，相當方便。

對於有視力困難的人來說，觸覺有時無法辨別生活用品，該款APP的「物品辨識」功能，能助一臂之力。使用者透過該APP將物品拍照，即自動上傳給遠端的志工，由志工幫忙辨識物品並回傳物品名稱，APP會以語音告知「答案」。

張金順說，目前志工人數約10人，希望招募志工達500至1000人，以因應未來APP上架後的服務需求。

另項功能「報平安與緊急求救簡訊」，在APP先設定好親友電話，幾個簡單的操作就能發送自己的GPS座標與鄰近地址。

淡大表示，目前這套APP適用於Android系統，預計月底前放上無障礙全球資訊網（http://www.batol.net）免費下載，年底前陸續在中華電信Hami apps及Google Play Store上架。
