歐巴馬提名葉倫 出任聯準會主席

美國總統歐巴馬9日下午3時15分在白宮宣布，他將提名現任聯邦準備理事會（FED）副主席葉倫（Janet Yellen）出任下屆FED主席；現任FED 主席柏南克任期將於明年1月31日屆滿。葉倫的人事案經國會同意後，她將成為聯準會成立百年來首位女主席。

歐巴馬宣布這項任命案時，柏南克也一同出席。歐巴馬先感謝柏南克過去幾年在FED做出的貢獻，帶領美國走出經濟率退。對於繼任人選葉倫，歐巴馬稱讚她在FED服務多年，將是主席的稱職人選，也感謝她願意接受提名。
