竹石與畫竹記

鄭燮寫的竹石，有寫有畫，也是「詩中有畫、劃中有詩」的詩、畫作品。藉著畫作中石和竹的特性傳達心中對世事的想法看法，或者也自比為竹、以竹所象徵的君子形象與勁節、清高來自況。

但是蘇東坡的名句子「畫竹必先得成竹在胸」則只為傳達一個訊息；藉由事先在胸中揣摩、營造竹子在紙上將出現的的完整形態後，濡墨下筆橫斜勾勒點捺一氣呵成胸中之竹的「心得報告」。當然，這句話同時也被引用為「要成就一件大事之前必先詳盡擘畫，而後如畫竹一般一氣呵成」的方法。

一個講為人處事，一個說做事情的方法，兩者說沒有關係是對的，說有關係也不能算錯。
