阿賽洛米塔爾可能面臨刑事訴訟

鋼鐵巨擘阿賽洛米塔爾（ArcelorMittal）因在一起日益擴大的法律爭議中被控犯罪，正面臨法國法院的調查，可能因此面臨數十億歐元的罰款。

這起調查與最初由一群投資人在民事法庭針對米塔爾公司2006年以260億英鎊收購阿賽洛公司時，提起的違反合約訴訟有關。

這些投資人後來在2008年7月提起刑事訴訟，2012年初避險基金加入提告的行列。與刑事訴訟相關的證據已經在2011年12月交給調查官員，不過這些資料尚未揭露。

直到上個月，阿賽洛米塔爾才在長達155頁的半年財報聲明裡，一個不起眼的句子中透露此事。外界質疑，阿賽洛米塔爾是否應該早點公開此事；該公司今年1月透過紐約上市公司發行可轉換公司債，募集到22.5億美元（14億英鎊），當時由高盛集團承辦。

根據阿賽洛米塔爾的半年財報聲明，提告的投資人團體為阿賽洛股東協會（AAA），還有SRM Global、Trafalgar和Altana Wealth等避險基金
