北京和香港的研究人員今天(24日)表示，今年在中國大陸爆發的H7N9禽流感疫情，造成超過三分之一的住院病患死亡，並警告其擴散程度可能超出原先預期。

在這份刊登於「刺胳針」(The Lancet)醫學期刊的報告中，研究人員發現，在中國大陸感染H7N9禽流感住院的病患中，其致死率為36%。

研究人員說，這個致死率低於2003年H5N1型禽流感的約60%，但高於2009到2010年爆發的H1N1新流感(Swine Flu)的21%住院病人致死率。

研究人員並警告，不要因H7N9疫情暫時平息而大意，因為它有可能在秋天捲土重來。

根據中國大陸國家衛生和計劃生育委員會這個月9日的更新，自從2月爆發H7N9疫情以來，共有131例人類感染H7N9禽流感確診病例，其中123人住院治療，39人死亡。
